Acid-Alkaline

Acid-Alkaline pH chemical balance.

Acidity and alkalinity are measured according

to the pH (potential of hydrogen) scale. Water, with a pH of 7.0 is considered neutral - neither acid or alkaline. Any substance with a pH below 7.0 is considered acid, becoming more acid as it approaches 1. Any substance with a pH ABOVE 7.0 is considered alkaline, becoming more alkaline up to a limit of 14.0

In chronic illness, pH level concerns focus on whether the fluid characteristics of the host human favor the growth of destructive-to-human forms of bacteria, fungi, virus, or other parasites. While many of these forms are anerobic forms, dependent upon carbon dioxide, not all are. Carbon dioxide dissolved in water yields an acidic solution with below 7.0 pH.

Of possible confusion in this area is the fact that such parasites may have wide ranges of optimum growth pH levels which run from 6.0 to 7.6 (Clostridium sporogenes), largely harmless. Clostridium perfringens, is similar, and a common cause of food poisoning. Health enhancing variations may share a range of 5.8 to 6.6 (Lactobacillus acidophilus) and be unable to survive in a more alkaline higher pH.

Fungi usually grow best in environments that are slightly acidic (a pH measurement of 5 or so) but can also do well in higher pH levels. Keep in mind that healthy fungi contribute to human health by generating growth factors and vitamins from some of what we eat. We use fungi to make most of our breads and other forms to make antibiotics ... to destroy harmful bacteria. Antibiotics frequently overpopulate to the point of creating their own best pH, a low acid pH, from the deteriorating dead bacteria. This can become an ideal environment for the encouragement of anerobic toxic fungi, including Candida Albicans, mutated forms of a healthful form of Candida!

The human body is SLIGHTLY acidic when it is in a state of health. This limits fungal and bacteria growth on the skin or in the body. Some areas of the body are more acidic than this to address local issues and microbial populations. Medical tests for pH level are usually a reference of the BLOOD pH level.

The Ideal range for the human BODY is suggested, by some sources, as between 6.1 and 7.0. Others indicate a preference for 6.5 to 7.5, taking into account variances during the day in accord with metabolic cycles. Some authors advocate attempting to reach high alkalinity levels, apparently unaware that the highly alkaline ammonia is as deadly and corrosive as the highly acidic sulfuric acid. Small variations from a neutral level of 7.0 are practical norms.

North American blood levels often fall between 7.25 and 7.45, which is slightly alkaline. When blood pH falls between towards 6.35 (too acidic) hemoglobin in the blood deteriorates and the red blood cells cannot carry adequate oxygen to the tissues. When muscles, and connective tissues are too acidic, acidosis is experienced.

A healthy vagina produces a normal discharge which acts as a natural cleanser and when maintaining an acidic pH level of 3.5 to 4.5 (very acidic), it keeps a balance between healthy and unhealthy bacteria, fungi and viruses in that area. Fungal and other parasitic overgrowths tend to occur when the tissue pH is too alkaline, which would be restrained by a slightly acidic level.

The pH level of one's breath will be a combination of the pH level of the air being exhausted from the lungs plus the influence of pH levels in the sinuses and the mouth. Sinusitis is often a result of a fungal infection and will influence breath pH. Gingivitis is the result of unhealthy bacteria and will influence the pH of the breath. Deteriorating mercury amalgams (usually older than 7 to 10 years) will outgas mercury and influence the pH of the breath as well as encouraging unhealthy bacterial and fungal contaminations.

Heavy metals are bioaggregated by both bacteria and fungi who appear to thrive on such ingredients until they reach high levels. In other words, fungi and bacteria survive, and even thrive at low levels of heavy metals toxicity, while humans experience a depression of the organ systems they have when exposed to the same low levels. By the time the levels in the human body become great enough to start depressing the life systems of the fungi and bacteria present, if that were possible, the human would be dead! The presence of heavy metals also changes the pH level in favor of these lifeforms, more acidic.

Regardless of source, heavy metals exposure to humans increases the opportunity for parasitic mutation and proliferation, decreases the activity of the immune system, increases emotional depression leading to lower self-esteem and slower pro-active behaviors, and modifies the pH level considerably in the direction of acidity due to cellular degradation. Maintaining health, without reducing the sources of cellular deterioration, including heavy metals AND parasites, is dependent upon effective cellular and organ cleansing together with an elevated alkaline pH.

Eliminating the unhealthful conditions of heavy metals and fungal-bacterial-viral invasion and destruction will necessarily require and provide a higher than healthy short-term low pH level. This both indicates the level of detoxing taking place with the die off of the biological contaminants plus the higher than normal acidic, lower pH levels necessary to release the heavy metals from the cells. Unless one is going to persistently grow cells and not discard worn out and dead cells, one is unlikely to have an overly alkaline urine pH.

The ideal pH for the human body will vary from individual to individual and compensate for a variety of factors including these:

    • Basic Personality;
    • Energy blocks;
    • Imprinting;
    • Blood Type;
    • Education;
    • Culture;
    • Food.

The manner in which one interacts with their environment and themselves will influence their pH level. As the above factors change, through building, release, action, frequency, and modification --- so they will add to the alkaline-acid balance of their body. To the extent that these factors remain relatively constant, the ideal pH of one's body will be slightly higher or lower than the optimum pH for the human species IF placed in an Ideal environment where positive stresses outweighed the negative ones.

To reach the Optimum pH, the factors above, would act on the ideal pH of a particular person's body so as to influence it up, or down, to the optimum pH.

Persons who are intense and/or passionate will tend to exert more influence on their pH balance from day to day than someone less so. Here are a few examples of emotional and environmental influence of human pH:

Hate   lowers the pH to become more acidic;
Fear   lowers the pH to become more acidic;
Anarchy   lowers the pH to become more acidic;
Distrust   lowers the pH to become more acidic;
Vengeance   lowers the pH to become more acidic;

Aggressiveness   raises the pH to become more alkaline;
Defensiveness   raises the pH to become more alkaline;
Meditation   raises the pH to become more alkaline;
Reverence   raises the pH to become more alkaline;
Peace   raise the pH to become more alkaline;
Joy   raises the pH to become more alkaline.

    Acidosis, in which the body chemistry becomes overly acidic, and can result from:

    • fear;
    • anger,
    • fever;
    • stress;
    • obesity;
    • ketosis;
    • toxemia;
    • diabetes;
    • improper diet;
    • malnutrition;
    • excessive niacin;
    • kidney, liver, adrenal disorders.

      SYMPTOMS of Acidosis include:
    • insomnia;
    • frequent sighing;
    • water retention;
    • toxins accumulate;
    • migraine headaches;
    • difficulty swallowing;
    • stamina and mood decline;
    • abnormally low blood pressure;
    • athletic performance deteriorates;
    • bumps on the tongue or roof of mouth;
    • vitamin & mineral absorption decreases;
    • friendly bacteria & fungi may mutate into destructive;
    • dry, hard and/or smelly stools;
    • rheumatoid arthritis;
    • burning in the mouth.

REMEDIES for Acidosis include:

    • rest;
    • sunlight;
    • fresh air;
    • relaxation;
    • meditation;
    • deep breathing;
    • exercise;
    • swimming;
    • not thinking;

Alkalosis, in which the body is too alkaline, is often the result of

    • diarrhea;
    • poor diet;
    • high cholesterol;
    • endocrine imbalance;
    • osteoarthritis;
    • excessive vomiting;
    •
    • excessive intake of alkaline drugs or foods;

    • hypothermia;
    • sore muscles;
    • creaking joints.

REMEDIES for Alkalosis include:

    • fear;
    • acidic foods;
    • intense emotions;
    • infections;
    • more thinking.

NOTE:
Health is best maintained by managing your pH balance close to what is the optimum for your body. Acid forming foods are building. Alklalizing foods are cleansing. Too much of either is unhealthy.

AVOID the New-Age advocacy of only expressing positive emotions and building an overly alkaline pH. This encourages the development of sickness. It also demonstrates a negative deception of New Age approaches. You become dependent on New Age leaders by following their idealistic and irrelevant authoritative directions which promise miracles and seldon deliver. When you fail, they place the blame and responsibility on you. This makes you feel guilty, lose self-esteem, and become more obsessive in adhering to their edicts because you cannot tell the difference between REALITY and the fantasy of their impersonal theories.

The exclusive expressiveness of largely passive and culturally easy and positive emotions, such as Defensiveness, Meditation, Reverence, Peace and Joy, raise the pH to become more alkaline. For a person to participate in reality and be assertive, a full range of emotions is relevant and constructive. The fact that many highly organized and authoritarian cultures have not conveyed positive coping and communicating skills to their citizens is no excuse for not expressing emotions constructively because we are usually imprinted only with destructive variations.

ALL emotions can be expressed in both constructive and destructive manners. The aware, experienced, and spiritually strong person CHOOSES to express anger, joy, hate, love, meditation, aggressiveness -- and many others, in constructive ways. It is not considered healthy, or spiritually inclined, here, to be either anxious to the point of paranoia, or, dumbed out into blissful denial and egotistical self-obsession --- opposite ends of the pH emotional scale. Health is an ability to constructively participate in the Reality of the moment.

COMMENT

Personally, I have found monitoring my urine pH level to be of useless benefit. This may be because throughout the past 10 years I have been following a daily schedule of determining my required supplements and their quantity and my food choices by way of Spiritual Guidance. This may also be done by skilled muscle testing. The constancy of my pH being 7.0 throughout periods of mercury toxicity, cancers, severe Candida outbreaks, acute viral infections and extensive roundworm infestations ... usually inter-related, encouraged me to have the litmus strips tested several times for their integrity. Even laboratory tests indicated 7.1, at times, which is useless as an indicator of systemic Candida, mercury toxicity, and multiple organ exhaustion.

This does confirm, to a degree, that the methods I was Guided to and employed, DID maintain a healthy pH balance in spite of the presence of often terminal illnesses and was likely critical to my persisting in my efforts long enough to understand the factors and find the sources involved, and, survive. Others, who have not taken the time to develop these skills, and do not wish to, may find such monitoring of benefit to themselves. Better to work backwards than not at all.

The blood type which one has will indicate which foods are best for one's diet. Quantities and combinations will still be best determined by at least an accurate form of muscle testing. Some blood types, such as the prevalent O type, will tend to be healthiest with a slightly acidic level, overall, as their diet is generally more acidic in nature than that found to be best for A, B, or C blood types.

Nutritional fads and authoritarian diet theories continue to deceive and convince many by suggesting that a simplistic one-size-fits-all menu is best for all. Truly holistic approaches acknowledge the reality and benefit of Blood Type influences on metabolism and health.

Differences in urine pH levels taken throughout the day are normal.
Often a healthy person will have a more acidic level at the beginning of the day, becoming more alkaline towards the end of the metabolic cycle for the day.
